The road to the closer

£30,000 prize pot. £10,000 to the winning pair in every category, decided at the METRIX Season Closer —-London, 25–26 September 2027. London is your way in: finish top 10 in your category here and you're through, automatically.

No separate application. No judged selection. Place inside the cutoff and your spot at the Closer is confirmed on the day, free of charge.

Compete in your category - five stations, full production, same format as every METRIX event. Finish top 10 and you're through, no separate application, no judged selection. Your spot at the Closer locks the moment the leaderboard is final. Didn't place top 10? You still competed, still got a result, still in the season - qualify at Cardiff in June or come back next year.

How it works

Five stations, ten minutes of work each - you-go-I-go with your partner, four minutes' rest between. Max distance, max reps. Best total wins.

SKI ERG

10 minutes for max metres. Split it how you like, working in a you-go-I-go format - one on, one resting.

LATERAL BURPEE

10 minutes for max reps. Every burpee needs chest to floor and a two-footed jump over the line. You-go-I-go.

ROW ERG

10 minutes for max metres. Split it how you like, working in a you-go-I-go format - one on, one resting.

BIKE ERG

10 minutes for max metres. Split it how you like, working in a you-go-I-go format - one on, one resting.

SLED / SHUTTLE RUN

5 minutes for max sled lengths and 5 mins for max shuttle lengths. Split it how you like, working in a you-go-I-go format - one on, one resting.
